Dear friends,
Visit during the walk through Prague, the mother of cities, in the ancient heart of Europe, the unique architectonic monument that you can find under the Prague Castle, on the Royal Way in Nerudova Street.
U Dvou slunců, according to the tale from the year 1614.
On this house there is located one of the most famous Prague house symbols, due to which this precious historical monument was called, namely the baroque cartouche with the masks and vines, inside colored and gilded that was attached to the Renaissance portal in the beginning of 18th century.
The house well known as the place of residence of the journalist, poet, prose-writer, playwright and traveler Jan Neruda, whose book of poetry „Cosmic Songs“visited during one mission the space on board of an American space shuttle. The house is known especially as a place, where at the turn of 19th and 20th century encountered the famous Czech writers, painters, sculptors and all historical personalities who were important in the Czech history. Besides of above-mentioned Jan Neruda (by the way also the known Chilean poet Pablo Neruda took his pseudonym after him) among the most famous ones belonged also two great persons of Czech art: an important personality of Secession Alfons Mucha, and the representative of Czech secession symbolism and expressionism with the elements of cubism, Jan Zrzavý.
